Restless inventor David Hanson has spent countless years perfecting his real-life A.I. robot Sophia. But what makes a human human? Does a robot deserve human rights? The visually compelling documentary Sophia offers interesting answers to these questions.

TALK Films mostly showcase future robots as superhumans: exciting, fun, but not very realistic… At the same time, actual robots are increasingly being used at work, with mixed results. Because very few films are made about that, several researchers at TU Delft decided to talk with workers and children to discover what we expect and demand of robots in the workplace. Based on this research, robotics professor David Abbink (TU Delft) gives career advice for robots, together with an opera choir, led by musical theatre director Isabel Schröder.

This program is a collaboration with the Vision Team Robotics TU Delft.
