In honor of the centenary of Radboud University, poet Wout Waanders collected the most beautiful sentences from a hundred Nijmegen dissertations: one from every year that the university exists.
He didn’t do that without help: Mesian Tilmatine built an AI for him that could search for the most beautiful sentences. Wout then made poems of these sentences, which can be admired during InScience on Mariënburgplein.
On Sunday March 17, he presents the book Een toverstaf, een viskikker, een bomzelfdekker. De poëzie van 100 jaar proefschriften, at 14:00 in LUX café during Stand-up Science. Here he will tell us more about joining forces with artificial intelligence, and recite some of his new poems on stage. The book will be on sale from then on.
