During the Award Show at the fifth edition of InScience, the recipients of the NTR De Kennis van Nu Award, the InScience Jury Award and the Student Jury Award were revealed. Did you miss any of the films? Don’t worry! The winning films will be screened again today.

NTR De Kennis van Nu Audience Award

De audience award goes to Artifishal! Director Josh Murphy’s winning documentary shows how salmon farms meant to protect the endangered species of fish contribute to its extinction by introducing weaker genes into the wild gene pool. The NTR De Kennis van Nu Award consists of a €2.500 prize.

InScience Jury Award

The InScience jury has declared Are You There? the best science film at InScience. “The film is scientifically stimulating and although it starts from the director’s personal experiences, Are You There? transcends the traditional ego film.” The InScience Jury Award consists of a €2.500 prize.

The student jury has declared the documentary film Hope Frozen the winner. “The film encourages discussions about ethical questions such as preserving someone’s body to give them a better future.” The Student Jury Award consists of a €500 prize.
