Registration for InVision 2024 is open
With InVision, film festival InScience offers a breeding ground for creative talent that works across the boundaries of their own disciplines, in the form of an industry day full of workshops, master classes and many networking moments on Friday, March 15. The day is kicked off by David and Jessie Peterson, the conlangers behind major film productions such as Dune, Game of Thrones and Elemental.
Filmmakers who have previously collaborated on InScience projects, such as Cinepoems (in collaboration with Wintertuin) and Toekomstbeelden (in collaboration with Radboud University and Kalorama), talk about their experiences. We also offer a variety of interesting workshops and master classes. Such as the masterclass by artist Katarina Petroviç whose work can be seen during InScience: how do you work with scientists as an artist? Or the workshop on working with AI while writing a script.
InVision also offers filmmakers the opportunity to develop a film idea into a film concept together with scientists/experts in a curated intensive 1-on-1 session. Do you have an idea for a short (speculative) fiction film that you would like to develop further? Send it to firstname.lastname@example.org and explain your idea in a maximum of ½ A4. The closing date for this call is Thursday, February 29. We select three to five filmmakers who will develop their idea together with a scientist/expert. Selected filmmakers will receive a day pass (April 5 or 6, 2024) for Go Short’s professionals program.
