Tukdam: Between Worlds

Tukdam: Between Worlds

According to medical science, the line between life and death is absolute. What Tibetan Buddhists call “tukdam” shows otherwise. That is a state of meditation that experienced Buddhists can achieve after their death, by meditating as they die. In this documentary we see how their bodies do not decompose for days, sometimes even weeks, after their death. Combining scientific and spiritual angles, this film is an astonishing search for the mysterious boundary between life and death.
