The Secrets held in the Ice
Back in
1956, when young Claude Lorius went on one of the first expeditions to the
South Pole, Antarctica was mostly an unknown place. There he discovered his
vocation and he would return to this cold and barren landscape for many times
in his live, working as a scientist studying the ice. The ice proved to be a
treasure trove of discoveries. Most importantly it held proof that global
warming exists. This informative, animated short tells the story of Lorius
(also told in the longer sister movie The Ice and the Sky, also at InScience)
in an enjoyable and accessible way.
