My Want of You Partakes of Me
What if the whole human experience could be reduced to a process of consumption and digestion? A philosophical film essay which poses visceral questions about being the owners of a body.
The film takes as a starting point a strange premise: the digestive system is an analogy that can describe almost all areas of our physical experience. Perhaps the human body can be described as a sort of sponge which absorbs all kinds of external inputs – food, thoughts, ideals, and beauty. We receive these inputs from external agents that we often don’t even acknowledge, we process them (digest) and finally incorporate them. An intellectual, spiritual and – after all – corporal film ride, which brings the viewer to visit some of the weirdest areas of their mind (and body).
