Knit’s Island

Knit’s Island

Some players have been wandering here for hundreds, even thousands of hours. The virtual world of DayZ, a survivalist online video game that revolves around staying alive – for example by avoiding the numerous zombies and shootings.

Shot entirely within this sparsely populated, 250 square kilometers virtual world, Knit’s Island offers a fascinating portrait of anonymous individuals who form a tight-knit community and share dreams online. This surprising film sucks you into a parallel universe, which looks impressively realistic – but still, something seems fishy.
