In most parts of the world fungi are seen as normal food or have been integrated in various ways in many cultures. Not so in the United States, where mushrooms and their counterparts are mostly seen as weird or dangerous and definitely not as something to eat. A group of fungi enthusiasts, better known as fungiphiles, are trying to change this view.
