A vast record of Palestinian life before and after the Nakba was stored at the Palestine Research Centre in West Beirut until this archival wealth was seized by the Israeli army. 

Director Kamal Aljafari confronts this criminal act of erasure with a penetrating and artisanal film essay that, at its core, serves as a subversive reclamation of the image. Through this fragmented collection of found footage—dissected and interwoven with fragments of poetry and vibrant colors—Aljafari instigates a time-traversing dialogue. Access to historical representation and heritage is essential to the Palestinian right to self-determination. With his experimental cinematic tapestry, Aljafari counters the relentless colonization of the Palestinian narrative by media bias through a process of layering, deconstruction, and, above all, the creation of future memories from the past.
