1001 Inventions and the Library of Secrets

1001 Inventions and the Library of Secrets

During a school trip to a museum three kids are assigned the seemingly impossible task of learning about how the dark ages have influenced our world. Luckily for them, a mysterious librarian with magical powers knows that in de Muslim civilizations in the Middle Ages there where many great inventors and thinkers. The librarian, played by Oscar winner Ben Kingsley, introduces the kids to the ghosts of these important people. With an atmosphere straight out of Harry Potter, this is a wonderful educational short from the British 1001 Inventions program, that honours the legacy of the inventive Muslim past.
